    Worthington Youth Boosters

The Worthington Youth Boosters has been in existence for almost 60 years. While Worthington experienced significant growth in the 50's, so did the number of young families who had children with a need for organized sports. A group of parent volunteers formed the Cardinal Boosters. Baseball was the first sport. Over time, community growth continued and many sports were added. When the school system added a second high school in the late 80's, it transformed into the Worthington Youth Boosters - also known as "WYB". The group was registered as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization in 1988.

WYB currently sponsors 11 different sports that are available to children who reside in the Worthington School System. In 2015, WYB had over 6,000 participants.

The organization is governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time to provide the opportunities for our kids to enjoy sports at a variety of levels. Additionally, WYB has dozens of commissioners, sub-commissioners and coaches who donate their time to the organization. Without them, it would not exist.

WYB employs a full-time Administrative Director to handle the administrative duties of the organization, and an office space in the Worthington Education Center serves as the organization's permanent and full-time home.
