    High Scores Arcade



    Make that two crazy people. Husband and wife team Shawn & Meg Livernoche built their collection of classic arcade games over the past 10 years and opened High Scores 1.0 in 2010 in Burlington, New Jersey before relocating in January 2013 to Alameda, California.

    The museum focuses on the classic games of the 1980's; we feature a mighty collection of all of the favorites - Tron, Pac-Man, Star Wars, Donkey Kong, Punch-Out! - some cult favorites - Star Castle, Congo Bongo, Ladybug - and some 90's titles - Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat II, Revolution X. Of course this is a sampling of our game collection, which currently features 45 cabinets with over 400 playable classic games and a well-stocked juke box pumping only late 70's and 80's rock, pop, and hip hop.

    We want to take you back to when gaming was a social experience - play to impress the crowd, bask in the blacklight, throw on your jean jacket and then jump in Outrun for a victory lap.

    About our parties

    • e welcome the opportunity to host your private party, but we can only do so during the limited hours when we are not open to the general public. Private parties can be accommodated on Saturday mornings from 10 am - noon, Sunday evenings from 7-10 pm, and Monday and Tuesday evenings. 15 Guest/2 hour minimum for Private Events - Parties with 15-20 guests pay $10 per person per hour - Parties with 20 or more guests pay a reduced rate of $8 per person per hour. All Parties must be confirmed via email so we can properly record all dates and details into our party calendar. Confirmation requires a $50 deposit by credit card (by phone) or cash (in-store) All refreshments are BYO - (Alcohol is permitted for parties with guests who are of-age.) Food and drink must be kept away from arcade games at all times. Children of all ages must be supervised to avoid accidents. We will provide 2 medium tables to present refreshments for your guests. We do not host parties for children under 8 years old(Experience has taught us that small children and their younger siblings have the most potential for accidentally damaging our antique machines via game abuse/rough-play.)
