    Sarah's Science



    Sarah’s Science was founded in 1987 by Sarah Shaffer to provide kids ages 5-15 a unique and exciting approach to learning about the wonderful world of science and nature. Sarah's mission is to offer kids a joyous experience and show them that learning can be fun and easy.

    Our programs feature hands-on projects built by each child to engage and delight them while making it easy to understand even complex science concepts. Sarah makes the projects fun and dances the science around them.

    We offer camps during most school breaks, after school classes, and evening and weekend workshops located throughout the Bay Area.

    This is a great camp. The kids are outdoors, with lots to do, funny and nice counselors, a very accessible director, lots of singing plus science, hiking around, nature, and good discussions about kindness, etc. I highly recommend this camp. I have a very active boy who has gone 5 weeks for two summers in a row at age 6 and 7 and I will send him again in the future.

    My six year old son attended the Berkeley summer camp at Tilden park. He reported that he had alot of fun and was excited to return each day. Drop off can be a little chaotic in the morning, but I always felt my child was well protected and looked after. He was always excited to show me the science projects he complete each day. I would have him attend the camp again and when he found out Sarah's Science offered a course at his afterschool program he begged me to enroll him.
