Leslie Kilpatrick

Ambitious and energetic mathematically trained Dancer with extensive experience, which includes Tutoring mathematics K - College, Teaching Math Move at Brooklyn Music School, Teaching Dance K - 10, Assisting the DanceFaculty at Mark Morris Dance Center and training individuals with mental and developmental limitations at The Guild for Exceptional Children.STRENGTHS INCLUDE: enthusiasm, commitment, reliable, discipline, and patience.After graduating from Birmingham-Southern College with a B.A in Dance and Mathematics, this Alabama native relocated to Brooklyn to pursue a career in dance and continue work tutoring students in math.Kilpatrick is currently developing Mathematical Movement an educational arts program for kinesthetic and visual learners. She sees the method as a tool for retaining and understanding principles of math and science in a physical, applicable, and fun environment. The course serves as supplemental education to equip student for competition on an international level in math and science.
