Megan Dowdell

I am a doctoral student at UC and adjunct professor, with extensive experience working with adolescents and children in various subjects, ranging from SAT preparation and college essays to math, science, reading, Spanish language, History and Politics, etc. I am dedicated to developing students' study skills and organizational habits that foster growth and long-term success in an academic subject or college applications. I am goal-oriented and will help identify short-term goals (getting that essay just-so by Friday) and long-term (improving my pre-calc grade by Spring) goals, using on-line and hands-on tools to achieve them.

I have assisted high school juniors and seniors in the college application process from crafting successful college essays, improving test scores and grades, and moving towards dream colleges and universities.

While my hourly rate is lower than other tutors with less education and experience, I am dedicated to providing tutoring services that are accessible to more families and operate on a sliding scale.
